Hunters need to be aware of the dangers of this disease, a deer may be infected and not appear to be.  Hunting season is now shut down for the publics safety. It has been seen in Kansas, as well as 23 other states. According to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, "360 deer have tested positive for the fatal disease since the beginning of the fiscal year. This is a fatal progressive neurodegenerative illness, it eats at brain lesions of deer, elk, and moose.  The results are actually quite terrifying and the public should stay clear of all deer just in case the animal has the disease. Similar to a 'mad-cow' disease can turn these animals brains into Swiss cheese.
